11-week CSIA or CASI Level 1 and 2 instructor course in Whistler Blackcomb

This programme is perfect for keen skiers or snowboarders who would like to improve their skills but have limited time for an extended holiday. Oyster have been working in Whistler since 2000 and have a great establishment with skiing and snowboarding programmes which are designed to offer full qualifications and develop advanced skiers and snowboarders.  This course offers training in CSIA/CASI Level 1 and 2 courses and a bonus AST (Avalanche Skills Training) Level 1 and 2.

To take part, you will need to be able to ski or snowboard red runs in Europe or blue runs in North America. Don’t worry about being an expert, this course is designed to get you to the level of an instructor, not requiring that you are already one.

Whistler is beautiful and a great place to ski or snowboard. You will meet lots of new people and make lifelong friends with similar interests. The accommodation is clean, modern and centrally located. The chalets are spacious and have great communal areas with separate dining and storage areas. You can enjoy 6 continental breakfasts and delicious dinners on the sunny deck, or opt for self catering.

Highlights include:

  • CSIA/CASI Level 1 and 2
  • Recreational Avalanche Courses AST1 and AST2
  • Snow park training
  • Whistler Blackcomb Season Ski Pass
  • Over 20 hours of professional training per week
  • Training given by CSIA/CASI Level 4 instructors
  • Small groups to maximise your training
  • Resort rep available 24/7

Canada has a limited number of work visas each year and competition is high.  The great thing about this programme is that you only need a tourist visa - obtainable on arrival.

The cost of this programme, for 11 weeks, is £7500 based on sharing a room with three other people and being self-catered. (other accommodation and a catered option is also available).
