Gap Year in Ecuador

Ecuador straddles the equator (that's where it gets it's name from) the capital city is Quito - pictured on the left.

A gap year in Ecuador, although a relatively small country can be hugely varied. Volunteering work tends to focus on TEFL and community work. Treks and tours can include the Andes, cities like Quito, jungles and even maybe a visit to the Galapagos Islands, some 600 miles to the West, which is part of Equador.
